1 injured, 2 in custody in shooting at SDSU trolley station

SAN DIEGO (KGTV) — Two people were taken into custody Thursday in connection with a shooting at the San Diego State University trolley station that left one person injured.
San Diego Police said officers were called to the 5100 block of College Avenue at around 5 p.m. due to a report of a male with a gunshot wound.
As police investigated the incident, SDSU officials advised those on campus to remain indoors and be alert. Officials noted the parties involved in the shooting were not affiliated with the school.
ABC 10News learned two people believed to be linked to the shooting were taken into custody; the shooting victim was taken to the hospital, where his condition was unknown.
Officers located the weapon that may have been used in the shooting and were in search of another person possibly connected to the incident. A description of that person was not immediately available.
Due to the shooting and subsequent investigation, evening classes and other on-campus events — including the Aztec Nights — were canceled.
Police are investigating the events that led to the gunfire.
